I am going on 4 years of non smoking. I took A+ Smoker’s Control® and quit in 3 days. Ask my husband. Down from 4 packs a day for 30 years and then it was none. I had already done the damage

Dear Healthcare Provider,

Please congratulate your patient on wanting to start a smoking cessation plan.  They have decided to review A+ Smoker’s Control™.  I am Dr. Andrew Knowles, an anesthesiologist practicing in South Florida, developer of A+ Smoker’s Control™.

A+ Smoker’s Control™ was developed from a need to provide tobacco users with an effective alternative to gums, patches, inhalers, and prescription medications.

Your patient has been recommended, at their discretion, to inquire about A+ Smoker’s Control™ with their healthcare provider since they will temporarily be starting on this medication.  As mentioned on the A+ Smoker’s Control™ website:  “The information presented herein by A+ Smoker’s Control™ is intended for educational purposes only. These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA and are not intended to diagnose, cure, treat or prevent disease. Individual results may vary, and before using any supplements, it is always advisable to consult with your own health care provider.”

Studies have shown persistence and an intense smoking cessation plan are the two most crucial components of successful smoking cessation.  With A+ Smoker’s Control™ you not only get a highly successful non-prescription medication, but also a method to provide maximum participation of the individual to formulate their own smoking cessation plan.  They formulate their own goals, reasons to quit, memorable date, etc. to allow repetition and constant positive reinforcement to augment the medication.  Our website also provides valuable information for individuals, loved ones of smokers, and healthcare providers.  You may visit the A+ Smoker’s Control™ website at: www.APlusSmokersControl.com for more information.

The A+ Smoker’s Control™ medication itself is a proprietary combination of non-prescription, plant-derived drugs featuring Lobelia Inflata.  From the Federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) website:  “Lobelia, contains pyridine-derived alkaloids, primarily lobeline. These alkaloids have pharmacological actions similar to, although less potent than, nicotine.  Because of its similarity to nicotine, lobelia may be dangerous to susceptible populations, including children, pregnant women, and individuals with cardiac disease (the same of which is true concerning nicotine - A. Knowles).” {http://www.cfsan.fda.gov/~dms/ds-ill.html}.  This close relationship to nicotine targets detoxification and the relief of withdrawal symptoms including nausea, nervous tension, and cough.  Users report a calming feeling and decreased, to total elimination of, cravings.  Other uses of Lobelia Inflata include:  antiasthmatic, antispasmodic, diaphoretic, diuretic, emetic, expectorant.  The most common side effect is an uneasy stomach at high doses, however 1-2% of the general population will have an increased sensitivity.   Other very rare side effects include nausea, headache, vomiting, dizziness, dyspepsia, and fatigue.  Nicotine ingestion (whether via inhalation, gastrointestinal, or transdermal) may increase the possibility of side effects.

As we all know, cigarette smoking is addictive. In addition, the pharmacological and behavioral processes that determine tobacco addiction are similar to those which are linked to addiction to other drugs, such as heroin and cocaine, according to L.T. Kozlowski, and colleagues, in an article which appeared in the Journal of the American Medical Association in 1989 (261:898-901).  In fact, Lobelia Inflata has been used for centuries to help treat heroin addiction in third-world countries.

Please seriously consider A+ Smoker’s Control™ in your patient’s smoking cessation plans.  Although there is no one 100 percent effective treatment modality, with A+ Smoker’s Control™, your support, and a highly motivated patient, we can expect a reported success rate of approximately 40%.  It is my personal experience for success rates to be even higher, generally greater than 90%.  I have helped thousands of people quit smoking.  I would like to help your patient also.

If you have any questions, please visit my website or send an email via our “Contact Us” tab.  Please be sure to reference “From a Healthcare Provider” in the subject line.  Upon successful completion of your patient’s smoking cessation course, consider becoming an A+ Smoker’s Control™ Healthcare Provider Rewards ™ member.

Sincerely,

Dr. Andrew Knowles
